The Urbanpod is coming to an airport or train station near you
Love them or loath them, it’s inevitable that we will see the Urbanpod in London before too long.
What’s not to like about smart pods that have a personal TV, WiFi, Power sockets, Mood lighting and even a safe? Perfect for cheap overnight sleeps en route or if you’ve missed that last train home.
These ‘smart pods’ which have been created by the Mumbai based company were recently voted among the world’s coolest capsule hotels.
This concept isn’t new of course. The Capsule hotel opened in London Bridge in 2018 and you can rent one for around £20 per night in low season, but the Urbanpod takes it up a notch or 3 with loads of extras.
I reckon they’re great and the hotel’s equivalent to the old pile them high and sell them cheap sales strategy. This is 5 star pod accommodation and I can’t wait to book mine.
